COVID-19! With my spring marathons cancelled (Oakland 3/22 and Boston 4/20) I decided to run my own consolation marathon.
It was a perfect day: cool and cloudy. I ran in leisurely fashion, stopping to see sights, read plaques, take in views, etc. For fuel I brought one bottle of flat Coke and a handful of Gus. I had run the Bay Bridge portion a few days before to confirm the one open, needful water fountain there (conveniently located to hit twice on the out-n-back).
The total climb on the Bridge is only about 200 ft. but feels like a lot more.
